Community Investment at Play: TSW ḡul’áli Childcare Centre
Share
At LNG Canada, our social investment strategy is rooted in a simple belief: strong, resilient communities are built when people have access to safe spaces, meaningful support, and opportunities to thrive. Our partnership with Tamitik Status of Women (TSW) reflects our commitment in action.

Earlier this spring, the Tamitik Status of Women opened its long-awaited new housing project. This facility combines mixed-use housing that provides transitional and long-term housing for women and their children, along with the ḡuláli Childcare Centre, a play-based child-care facility. LNG Canada is proud to have supported this project with a $150,000 donation, which went toward creating a welcoming outdoor play space designed with imagination, safety, and early childhood development in mind.
When asked about the playground and its impact on the centre, Tamitik Status of Women shared, “At ḡuláli Childcare Centre, we strive for a program that that supports and encourages growth in all areas of childhood development. We wanted our centre to be a place where all children can play and learn with quality materials and furnishings. Thanks to LNG Canada’s contributions, we have built an environment where children can engage in a play-based, educational experience that is relevant, meaningful, and considers their unique needs and learning styles.”
Supporting organizations like Tamitik Status of Women—and their work to uplift women, children, and families—is central to our social investment strategy. Seeing children enjoy this new playground is a powerful reminder of what’s possible: helping build a community that is strong, inclusive, and full of opportunity for generations to come.
