Community Notification: Planned Flaring

LNG Canada advises that a planned flaring event will begin May 30^th and continue until June 2^nd, resulting in intermittent flaring with flare heights of approximately 30 – 60 metres. We anticipate increased noise and visible emissions during this period.

Flaring is a provincially regulated safety measure that ensures the controlled, efficient combustion of natural gas during specific operational phases. It is a critical part of safely operating a facility of this scale and is not expected to be routine during regular operation.
