Community Notification: Planned Flaring

LNG Canada advises that planned flaring is scheduled to occur between Aug 23 and Aug 28, with an expected flare height of approximately 10 to 30 metres and duration of approximately six days. Associated noise and visible emissions may occur during this period.

Flaring is a provincially regulated safety measure that ensures the controlled, efficient combustion of natural gas during specific operational phases. It is a critical part of safely operating a facility of this scale and is not expected to be routine during regular operation.
