Community Notification: Planned Flaring

LNG Canada advises that a planned flaring event will begin tomorrow, May 2nd and will result in intermittent flaring with a flare height of approximately 10-15 metres. The flaring event is expected to last for approximately 2-3 days. We anticipate increased noise and visible emissions during this period.

Flaring is a provincially regulated safety measure that ensures the controlled, efficient combustion of natural gas during specific operational phases. It is a critical part of safely operating a facility of this scale and is not expected to be routine during regular operation.
