Share
LNG Canada advises that an unplanned flaring event occurred yesterday, May 30th at approximately 9:30 p.m. and the flaring will continue intermittently over the next 24-48 hours with a flare height of approximately 60-90 metres.
Flaring is a provincially regulated safety measure that ensures the controlled, efficient combustion of natural gas during specific operational phases. It is a critical part of safely operating a facility of this scale and is not expected to be routine during regular operation.
