Community Notification: Unplanned Flaring

Share

LNG Canada advises that an unplanned flaring event is ongoing and will continue from August 15 to August 17, with an expected flare height of approximately 60 metres. Associated noise and visible emissions may occur during this period.

Flaring is a provincially regulated safety measure that ensures the controlled, efficient combustion of natural gas during specific operational phases. It is a critical part of safely operating a facility of this scale and is not expected to be routine during regular operation.
