LNG Canada Contributes to the B.C. Emergency Response

LNG Canada is providing support to communities impacted by the floods and extreme weather conditions in British Columbia by donating $50,000 to the Canadian Red Cross.

“This has been a very difficult time for British Columbians impacted by severe weather events and flooding, and our thoughts are with those who have suffered losses and who are dealing with the aftermath,” says Peter Zebedee, LNG Canada’s Chief Executive Officer. “As an organization with deep roots in communities across B.C., we want to lend our support. The strong response from our first responders, relief organizations, regional authorities and community members demonstrates once again the resilience and determination that define this province and its people.”

The Canadian Red Cross is working to get help to people in and around affected areas as quickly as possible and provide humanitarian assistance for new needs as they arise. Money raised will enable the Red Cross to carry out relief, recovery, resiliency and risk reduction activities in and beyond the region at the individual and community levels.
