LNG Canada welcomes first major module

The first major module for the 14mn mt/yr LNG Canada liquefaction terminal on BC’s northern coast has arrived at Kitimat aboard the HTV Forte, LNG Canada said March 11.

The inlet facilities module, measuring 35 metres high and weighing 4,618 mt, will serve as the entry point for natural gas delivered to the LNG Canada facility by the Coastal GasLink pipeline, now under construction. It will then evenly distribute the feed gas at a constant flow to various treatment facilities and processes, senior construction engineer Gerard Bowers said.
