Earlier this fall we stopped by to chat with the Ocean Wise team at a Dock Talk event at MK Bay Marina in Kitimat, B.C. Dock Talks are one of the ocean literacy programs Ocean Wise provides to the local community as part of our $750K funding program.

LNG Canada has committed $750,000 over three years to support the expansion of Ocean Wise’s North Coast killer whale and humpback whale conservation research programs and deliver ocean literacy programs to Kitimat and Terrace-area schools.

Kitimat Understanding the Environment (KUTE) operates a recycling depot in Kitimat and helps raise awareness about environmental protection.
